At the heart of Christian faith is a beautiful mystery—the Trinity. As a Bible-believing, Pentecostal church, Covenant Ways Chapel holds firmly to this foundational truth: God is One, yet exists eternally in three distinct persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
🔹 The Mystery of the Trinity
The word Trinity may not appear in the Bible, but the truth of it is revealed throughout Scripture. God is not three gods, nor one God taking different forms at different times. He is One in essence, Three in personhood—co-equal, co-eternal, and inseparable.
Deuteronomy 6:4 (NKJV)
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one!”
Matthew 28:19 (NKJV)
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
🔹 Who is the Father?
God the Father is the Creator and sustainer of all things. He is sovereign, holy, and full of compassion.
Isaiah 64:8 (NKJV)
“But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.”
He desires relationship with His children and sent His Son to redeem us.
🔹 Who is the Son?
Jesus Christ, the Son, is God incarnate—fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again in victory.
John 1:1,14 (NKJV)
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”
Through Jesus, we know the heart of the Father and receive salvation.
🔹 Who is the Holy Spirit?
The Holy Spirit is the empowering presence of God within believers today. He teaches, comforts, convicts, and leads us in truth.
John 14:26 (NKJV)
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things…”
He equips us with spiritual gifts and empowers us for holy living and witness.
🔹 Why the Trinity Matters
Understanding the Trinity isn’t just theology—it transforms how we relate to God:
- We pray to the Father, through the Son, by the Spirit.
- We see a model of perfect unity, love, and purpose.
- We’re invited into a relationship with a God who is personal, powerful, and present.
✨ Closing Thought
At Covenant Ways Chapel, we worship one God in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This truth is not just doctrine; it’s the foundation of our faith and the heartbeat of our worship.
2 Corinthians 13:14 (NKJV)
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”
